Given the nature of ADHD and the controlled substances often used in its treatment, we recommend all our patients to enroll in the monthly membership after diagnosis. This allows our team at Finding Focus to provide ongoing care, closely monitor your response to medications, and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan, for a more affordable price than single follow-up visits.

How long is the assessment, and what can I expect during the 75-minute consultation?

If I'm diagnosed with ADHD, will I need to be on medication all my life? Is there a cure?

ADHD is a chronic condition that many people manage throughout their life. While there isn't a "cure" as such, it's important to know that there are many effective strategies for managing ADHD symptoms, and these can lead to a high quality of life.

The need for medication varies from person to person. Some people may require medication throughout their lives, while others may find they need it only during certain periods. Our team at Finding Focus will work with you to find the best approach based on your individual needs and circumstances.

In addition to medication, lifestyle modifications, behavioral therapy, and coping strategies can be very effective in managing ADHD. These non-medication strategies can sometimes reduce the need for medication, or even eliminate it over time. However, this varies greatly from person to person.

We believe in a comprehensive approach to ADHD management at Finding Focus, and we'll work closely with you to find the best combination of strategies to manage your ADHD effectively.

Absolutely! We believe in a comprehensive, multi-modal approach to managing ADHD. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be particularly effective in treating ADHD and can be an excellent complement to medication management.

At Finding Focus, we are partnered with several CBT-focused clinics and can provide free referrals to help you access this valuable resource. Incorporating CBT into your treatment plan can help you develop useful skills and strategies to manage your ADHD symptoms and improve your overall quality of life.
